2026 Book Club

Starting April 4th, every Saturday

Quiet reading hours begin at 10:00 am, discussions at 11:30 am

Our club focus is on literature that enriches our understanding of the natural world, especially as it relates to agriculture. The vision we are building toward at Farm on the Fen is informed by incredible farmers, philosophers, botanists, storytellers, educators, researchers, spiritual leaders, and scientists around the world. The list of fiction and non-fiction pieces below is curated in the hope that they guide our club toward engaging with the land around us, discovering how we belong to it, and cultivating meaningful relationships with our more-than-human relatives -especially while contextualizing our agency within the social, political, and economic upheavals of our time.

Creating a safe space for individuals of all backgrounds and ages to sit quietly and read, or engage in sincere dialogue is one way that we hope to bring about a more gentle, just and beautiful society.
