Handmade end-grain cutting board harvested from our wetland forest. All our cutting boards are saturated with food-grade mineral oil and sealed with food-grade wax finish.

Hardwood end-grain cutting boards are recognized as superior for their anti-bacterial effects. After washing the board, any lingering microbes left on the surface are drawn into the wood via capillary action where they die quickly due to dehydration. Studies have even shown that 99% of bacteria including salmonella  and e. coli begin to die within minutes of surface contact with end-grain cutting boards.

After several washes the protective coatings will begin to wear off. Replenish the finish with your choice of food-grade oils or waxes as needed.
